About Us

The Treasured Child is located at 115 East Main Street in La Grange, KY.  Tayler Rinehart and Ellie Troutman purchased the store in April 2012.  The Treasured Child has been a "must shop" on Main street for more then fifteen years;  Known for specialty toys and knowledgeable customer service. 

Each of the toys are hand selected by the owners.  Giving special attention to quality, craftsmanship & value.  The majority of our toys are kid powered you won't find electronics, battery operated or video games here.  You will find items that spark imagination, give hours of joy and toys that will create lasting memories.
 
Ellie's favorite is our vast line of plush animals.  Hansa, Steiff, Gund, Ganz & Folkmanis create stuffed animals that will become treasured best friends for years to come and then be passed down to the next generations.
 
Tayler loves the German engineering of Bruder, Playmobil, Schliech & Eithech maybe it's her German heritage or the fact that these toys are made in Germany with the industries highest standards for toy production & safety.
 

Turn the door knob of the Treasured Child and step in to a world of wonder.  Two floors, 3000 square feet wall to wall floor to ceiling toys.

Directions

Visit us in La Grange, Kentucky. Just 20 minutes northeast of Louisville.  Take I-71 North to exit 22.  Turn left onto Hwy 53.  Proceed to the 4-way stop at the RR crossing.  Turn right onto Main Street (watch out for trains!) and we are on the right between Loren's Jewelry and the Irish Rover Too.

 

Layaway
